10 on 10 July Edition| The Woodlands Tx Family and Child Photographer

I’m so blessed to be a part of a fun group of ladies who all share the same passion for photography.  We’ll be posting 10 photos on the 10th every month, and linking you through more blogs to see more fab pictures! Make sure to click the link at the bottom of this post for the next blog 🙂   Here were my 10 personal favorites for the month:

Shortly after school got out, we got some precious rain.  I love how kids just want to play in it:

I have no idea what he was doing here, but it makes me laugh 🙂

Yep, everyone told me boys cause more trouble than girls.  I never really believed them, until I had one…. (Yes, that’s marker both on his mouth, PJs, and floor)

She also loves our family cat, Fitzgerald.  He has just recently decided to love her back 🙂

Summertime has meant free time during naptime for Adalyn.  We had fun making glitter slime this month!

Declan is learning early how to build computers, like his daddy.

I had the chance to help a friend learn a little more about her camera this month.  She happens to have an a-mazing room with beautiful light, and a very sweet little girl.  I got this fun shot while I was visiting 🙂

My month has been full of me dashing to the table to get Declan off before he hurts himself.  But this one time, I snapped a picture before I rescued.

And of course, we always have daddy snuggles on the weekend mornings 🙂

Fourth Baby Hospital Birth – Baby E | The Woodlands, Tx Birth Photographer

This May I had the privilege of capturing two births just one week apart.  My two mommas were due just 3 days apart, and I was really praying I would make it to both!  What are the chances they would both be in active labor at the same time, right?  Well, I lucked out, and baby E hung on for one week for me, and I’m so happy I was able to be there.  She was 7lb 12 ounces of baby cuteness.  Her momma made having a fourth baby seem like a total breeze!

This is the first part of baby E’s birth story.  I’ll be breaking it up into two, so hopefully your phones won’t freeze up when trying to load the pictures 🙂  Look out for part two in the next few days!

A Birth Center Birth | The Woodlands, Tx Birth Photographer

I had an amazing opportunity to capture another fellow photographer’s water birth.  After several days of false labor, finally a storm came in which really seemed to help her out, and she went on to deliver a very precious, very perfect, 9lb 8oz baby boy.  Her focus on God amazed me through the entire process, and I just loved seeing God really give her patience, courage, and endurance through her labor.

Everything went so smoothly (and so calm!) for her, and I’m just overjoyed she got to experience the birth she really wanted.  Water birth at the birth center with delayed cord clamping and all those peaceful first moments with her baby.  This little babe is already so very loved, and is going to grow up in such a great family!  Please enjoy looking through her birth story – with pictures 🙂  I feel so lucky to have been a part of this breathtaking day, thank you Erin!

Sweet Baby R turning one! | Woodlands, Tx Child Photographer

I have to admit, before every one year old session I get a little nervous (ok, very nervous!).  Babies before they are mobile are pretty easy to photograph, and once they are 18 months they at least have a cute smile on their face while they’re running away from you.  But…. that time around 12 months where they can get away from you, but are still pretty stoic, is so very very challenging to get a smile!  And while I always seem to get pictures for their proud parents, it really doesn’t help my nerves 😉  I always love coming home to edit though, and see what surprises I get!

This sweet baby’s mother took care of my daughter when she was two at a local preschool.  I was so happy to have the opportunity to bless her with photos of her little girl.  With the help of a fellow photographer, we got some good giggles, laughs, and loved looking at her little tutu which seemed to resemble a turkey when she crawled 😉
